April 19, 2010: Due to unforseen circumstances, DAY 2 (April 20th) of the Conference on the State of the Welfare State in EU has been CANCELLED.
This conference is organised by the Welfare State research group of HIVA-K.U.Leuven, for and in collaboration with the European Centre for Workers’ Questions (EZA), with the financial support of the European Commission and the Belgian Federal Public Service Social Security, and in association with the Athenian Policy Forum APF.
- 35th anniversary of HIVA
HIVA celebrates its 35th anniversary and wishes to focus on a social theme of high relevance: the vulnerability of people and society.
Our doors will be open all year long. We will organise ten seminars to reflect over and open the debate on this theme.
- Gift voor CDS Congo
Sinds vijf jaar werkt het HIVA intens samen met de Chaire de dynamique sociale (CDS) van de Universiteit van Kinshasa in Congo. Vijftien sociologen, economen en antropologen doen er toegepast onderzoek voor de Congolese arbeidersbeweging, de ngo's en Ontwikkelingsorganisaties.
Ook Wereldsolidariteit werkt samen met deze beloftevolle onderzoeksgroep. Naar aanleiding van onze verjaardag willen we de CDS extra steun geven. Uw bijdrage is hiervoor meer dan welkom. U kan een gift doen op het rekeningnummer 799-5500000-05 van Wereldsolidariteit, met de mededeling "gift voor CDS Congo". Voor giften vanaf 30 euro ontvangt u een fiscaal attest.
